Fitting out that 4WD

Ironman covers the load-carrying bases.

-

There’s an enormous range of components and accessories available to make carrying loads in the back of an SUV or utility easier and safer. Products include deck liners, ute boxes, rear sliding drawers, canopies and a range of deck-mounted tool boxes.

For tradies, for families, for work and for weekends, these are the ways to make a vehicle fit for all purposes.

Deck liners

Deck liners are available for late model double cabs including the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Ford Ranger, Mazda BT50, Mitsubishi Triton, Holden Colorado and Isuzu D-Max . The liners are made of three mm thick extruded polyethylene which is UV stable and gives high impact resistance, as well as protection from most common chemicals including oil, petrol, paint and battery acid. The liners are compatible with canopies, come standard with chrome tie-down points and require no drilling to fit.

Ute boxes

Every ute needs a secure and watertight load carrying option. Ironman 4x4 produces two sizes of ute boxes designed to fit inside the rear tyre wells of the deck. They multi-purpose, strong and safe storage solutions. Ute boxes have waterproof and dustproof lids, heavy duty double locks and come in 140 litre and 200 litre sizes, the smaller with a low profile to sit below the ute rail while the “Extra” has a higher profile sitting above the rail.

Space Cases

Space cases can be used inside a vehicle or on a deck or roof rack. They are made from high strength military grade UV stabilised polyethylene plastic. They have a weather-resistant sealing system and interlocking ribs for secure stacking. They are available in five sizes from 97-litre to 196-litre.

Rear Drawers

The frustration of having to unpack to get at something in the vehicle’s tray is a thing of the past with rear sliding drawers. These are available to fit most modern 4WD wagons and utilities. The twin sliding drawers can carry up to 150kg each and have tough galvanised frames. These are available as a DIY assembly kit and are easily installed. These make the perfect storage system for contractors, tradesmen or outdoorsy types.

Canopies

With a stylish profile and designed fit, an Ironman Thermo-plas canopy can turn the back of a ute into a safe, lockable dry space. These are formed from a single sheet of 9mm ABS plastic, are fully lined and are lightweight, strong and built to withstand the harshest conditions. All canopies are fully optioned making them ideal for any ute owner. Some of the features include a smooth finish, tinted sliding windows, internal metal support frame, plug and play wiring loom, internal light, lockable single handle for ease of use, gas strut for easy opening, quickfit no-drill four point clamp system, all stainless hardware, built in rear LED brake light, roof bars rated to 80kg.

The canopies are standard in white but can be colour-matched to suit any vehicle. Canopies are available for a range of late model double cab vehicles including the Hilux, Navara, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Isuzu and Ford.

Tool boxes

The range of tool boxes is extensive and they are available in steel and aluminium. There are nine available including an under-deck tool box for the right and left side. They are made from checker plate aluminium and are lockable with dust and water seals. On-deck tool box designs include low or high profile versions and a gull wing truck box designed to go behind the cab with access from each side.

Heavy duty steel truck boxes with pull out drawers are available in two sizes.

Roof racks

The range of roof racks includes three sizes available and configurations: 1.4m long, 1.8m long and 2.2m long. The longer versions are available in a cage, trade or tent configuration and come complete with eight mounting feet if required.
