Bendix stops the ‘Cruiser

New brake pads for Land Cruiser 300 Series and V6 Amarok

-

Few model releases generate as much excitement in the automotive world as a new Toyota Land Cruiser. The 300 Series continues the tradition, both here and in Australia.

After a long wait for prospective owners, the great news is that the first of these vehicles are now available locally, and Bendix is well underway developing braking products specifically to suit the new Cruiser.

While the Bendix aftermarket component range for the LC300 will grow in coming months, as of February initial products have become available. On offer are front and rear disc brake pads from Bendix’s 4X4-focused 4WD/SUV range.

The 4WD/SUV range is specifically developed for four-wheel-drives and SUVs for use in both on and off-road applications and provides low noise and dust operation and reduced brake fade at higher temperatures.

Range extensions

Staying within the 4WD and SUV category, the Ultimate 4WD range has expanded and is now available to suit selected VW Amarok models 2018 onwards with the V6 engine, and Land Rover Discovery 3.

There’s also a first release of the 4WD/SUV range suitable for 2021 Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage and for the Toyota Fortuner from 2018 onwards.

General CT pads have been introduced for Mazda CX-8 and CX-9 models from 2016 and 2017 onwards respectively.

Other February releases

Bendix has also released a new range of heavy-duty disc brake pads for hardworking Volkswagen Crafter van and cab chassis models. The additions suit models from 2017 onwards and include both front and rear options (model dependent). Bendix’s heavy-duty brake pads are a great fit for working vehicles that carry and tow heavy loads – they also last up to twice as long as all-purpose pads and thrive at higher temperatures.

Street Race Track pads are also now available to suit a greater range of Ford Mustang and Mitsubishi Lancer EVO models, while Ultimate+ Pads can now be selected for Ford Focus XR5 Turbo and Lexus RX and VW Golf GTi models.

Rounding out the latest Bendix pad additions are new HD offerings for the 2021 model Mitsubishi Outlander along with additional products for Suzuki (Ignis), Haval (H2), Peugeot (3008 and Expert), Ford (Focus, Escape, Holden (Commodore), Honda

(Accord) and VW (Golf and Tiguan).
