Depression in NZ

One in seven Kiwis will experience depression before turning 24. One in eight men will experience it, as will one in five women.

One in five people with depression or anxiety will experience both at the same time.

Figures released in 2012 by Pharmac showed one in 10 Kiwis were prescribed antidepressants.
