ROAD Metals Company Ltd has been assisting the community in a variety of projects for the past 60 years, including roading contracts, hydro dams, irrigation projects, farm tracks, dairy lanes, racetracks, horse arenas and supplying their subsidiary company Kiwi Concrete Ltd with their sand and aggregate.
The Road Metals fleet is easily recognised by the brownandwhite trucks and trailers. These vehicles have become synonymous with immaculate presentation and dependable performance. As part of their fleet, they have articulated trucks that are capable of transporting a wide range of equipment up to 45 tonnes.
Their crushing plants have various units, including jaw crushers, cone crushers, impact crushers, Barmac crushers, aggregate wash plants, sand dewatering plants and multideck screening plants; these enable them to produce a vast array of aggregate products around different locations in New Zealand.
Road Metals has various quarry sites in the South Island, the majority of them being located in the North Otago region. This allows the local community to access products from a close source.
