Top shops nominated

TEN Otago shops and two Dunedin retail employees were nominated as national finalists in the 2017 Retail NZ Top Shop awards in Dunedin last night.

Businesses based in Dunedin, Queenstown and Wanaka shone through from more than 600 entries nationwide, Retail NZ spokesman Greg Harford said.

‘‘Retail is a tough business and it requires employees with special skills across a number of areas to be successful.

‘‘There’s lots of retail talent in Otago and Southland and it’s great to see six Dunedin stores being named as national finalists across nine award categories, two Queenstown stores up for five awards between them and two Wanaka stores have also been recognised for their work,’’ he said

The regional finalists will compete for the national awards in Auckland in September.
