Drug ring smashed

Sydney: Heavily armed officers swooped on 26 properties across Sydney and the ACT in simultaneous earlymorning raids yesterday, smashing a multimilliondollar drugtrafficking syndicate involving outlaw bikies and Asian crime gangs.

Twelve people have been arrested in the operation. NSW’s top cop said authorities had ‘‘cut off the head of the snake of organised crime’’. — AAP
