Where can I exercise my dog?
ALL dogs need and love daily exercise, but where can dogs just be dogs? There are several areas throughout Otago created specifically as dogexercise areas or where they are allowed off their leash. Some of these include:
In Dunedin, dog parks are located at: Rotary Park — Highcliff Rd, Waverley Forrester Park — Norwood St, Normanby
Cemetery Rd — East Taieri (includes a small dogpark)
Shand Park — Green Island (includes a small dogpark)
Wakari Rd — Wakari
Kew Park — Forbury Corner
There are dozens of other dogexercise areas in the Greater Dunedin area, a comprehensive list is available on the council’s website.

The Alexandra Pines, State Highway 8 The Linger and Die, between Rivers St and the Manuherikia River
Town Belt between State Highway 85 and the Manuherikia River Clyde:
Sunderland Street Road Reserve True left bank of the Clutha River between Clyde Bridge and Dunstan Hospital
Vacant land at northern end of Clyde Golf Course and Dunstan Hospital Cromwell:
Victoria Park Reserve, Alpha St Plantation area adjacent to transfer station, Bannockburn Rd
Plantation area, between Pearson Rd and Bannockburn Rd
