Australian choir on tour

The Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra from Redcliffs, north of Brisbane, will perform classical and contempora­ry works in Dunedin and Queenstown as part of a national tour. It will play at Dunedin City Library on Monday lunchtime and Larnach Castle in the afternoon before it heads to Queenstown’s library on Tuesday.

150 years young

As Blueskin Bay celebrates its anniversar­y, it is holding a digital workshop this afternoon so people can bring mementos of life in the community to help preserve its history. Photos, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, letters, or memories to relate, are welcome at Blueskin Bay Library.

Climate change circuit breaker?

New Zealand geologist Dr Peter Barrett’s movie Thin Ice: The Inside Story of Climate Science and a video by Nasa’s Eric Rignot will be shown at the Sherwood, Queenstown, on Sunday followed by a conversati­on by Dr Barrett.

1930s style

The Dunedin Star Singers present ‘‘It’s DeLovely’’, a 1930s musical programme at the Hutton Theatre, Otago Museum on Sunday. The choir will be dressed in theme and suggests the audience does too.
