Houses evacuated

Wellington: Two Wellington houses have been evacuated following separate slips.

Four students were forced from their Evans Bay home yesterday morning after five people — also believed to be students — had to leave a Devon St flat in Aro Valley on Thursday night.

It was too early to say whether either house would be safe to return to, a Wellington City Council spokeswoman said. — NZN
