Keep a rein on tights spending
Wellington: Replacing your old tights with the perfect pair shouldn’t cost you an arm and a leg, Consumer NZ says.
‘‘Our test results show paying a higher price for winter tights may not guarantee a superior product,’’ Consumer NZ chief executive Sue Chetwin said this week.
Ten wellknown brands of 70denier stockings ranging in price from $3.99 to $29.95 were tested by the organisation for their ability to withstand laddering and their overall strength.
A $10 pair of Razzamatazz brand tights put their best foot forward and outperformed rivals costing two to three times as much, Consumer said. — NZN
