Nine grounds closed

Sports venues: The Dunedin City Council has closed nine grounds for the weekend.

The fields have been closed because they are too wet and using them could cause further damage.

All junior rugby from under10 has been cancelled due to a lack of grounds, but junior football is still on, with affected games moved to other venues.

Grounds closed for this weekend are: Brighton Domain, Kensington Oval (except the junior fields AP), Logan Park except (No 5 and No 4), Miller Park, Outram Reserve, Portobello, Nairn Street, Unity Park and Walton Park.
