Chris Young kicked four conversions before leaving the field injured after 20 minutes while first fiveeighth Matt Ashe added seven conversions to round out the scoring. Tighthead prop Luke Dywer scored the Alexandra try and Taura Wilson added the conversion.

Cromwell retained the White Horse Cup and celebrated Blake McPhee playing his 100th game for the club with a solid 3810 win over Matakanui Combined at Cromwell, scoring seven tries to two. Dynes and Blakeborough stood out in the forwards for the home side while Dodds, Seymour and Hayden Todd were impressive from the back. Matakanui Combined will rue some early mistakes that allowed the home side to build momentum. Matt Holland at prop and halfback Baylee Sloss were the pick for the visitors.

Upper Clutha travelled to the Queenstown Events Centre and did not let Arrowtown, the finalist from last season, into the game, coming out 253 victor. Tries for the winners were scored by hooker Scott Cunningham, right wing James Downes and replacement hooker Michael Donald. Josh Roberts added two penalties and a conversion and Rhys Cunningham also kicked a conversion. First fiveeighth Connor Bissett kicked a first half penalty for the home side in which Aidan Winter had another solid game.

Maniototo took on Clyde Earnscleugh at the Clyde Domain and came away with a hardfought 3629 win. Its second fiveeighth, Nathan Huddlestone, was a standout in everything he did.

Clyde Earnscleugh did not leave emptyhanded, with a couple of bonus points tucked away in what was a fairly open encounter. Big lock Mike Sutherland had a top game for the Clydebased side.
