Overall winners were Kate Richards and Blake Hartley (ski) and Lucia Georgalli and Cole McIntyre (snowboard). Ten teams took part in the Otago Secondary Schools ski and snowboard champs held at Cardrona the following week. Another sunny day, lots of fun and great results for the MAC contingent.
Every two years, MAC hosts St Philip’s College from Alice Springs, and this year the Australians brought two under16 netball teams. The MAC B team and the MAC 10A team both had convincing wins.

Queen’s High School

It also provides another opportunity for the Queen’s community to support activities outside the classroom.
The rugby team made the most of meeting some of the Black Ferns team at their recent games. Players were able to talk to some of their idols and, of course, get those most important selfies. The hiphop crews and aerobics girls used this as their last dress rehearsal beforecompeting in the regional competitions to qualify for nationals later in the year. The Ice Queens ice hockey team continues to perform strongly in the second grade competition. This allgirl team includes players from other schools and gives all girls the opportunity to play.
