Baseball: The Boston Red Sox are in the World Series for the first time since 2013 after they beat the reigning champion Houston Astros 41 in game five of the American League Championsh­ip Series in Texas yesterday to complete a 41 series success.

JD Martinez and Rafael Devers hit home runs for Boston while pitcher David Price did not concede a run in six innings as he secured the first postseason victory of his career in his 12th start.

The Red Sox will try to bring Boston its fourth crown in 15 years when they open the World Series on Wednesday at home in Fenway Park against the Los Angeles Dodgers or Milwaukee Brewers. — BPA
