Dogs injure woman

Opotiki: Three dogs have attacked an Opotiki woman, leaving her battling critical injuries.

The dogs, which belonged to her brother, left cuts to her head, neck, abdomen and legs.

The attack occurred in Te Kaha, in eastern Bay of Plenty, last Friday.

The woman was airlifted to Tauranga Hospital by rescue helicopter. A hospital spokeswoman said yesterday the 60yearold was in a critical but stable condition in the intensive care unit.
