Christina Sutherland, (23), student, careless use of a motor vehicle causing injury (Sutherland crashed her car on May 6 while driving on the Fruitlands-Roxburgh Rd; her passenger at the time sustained a broken ankle; Judge Crosbie said the two were still friends and flatmates) fined $500 and disqualified from driving for six months.
Silapa Halangahu (26), of Mosgiel, driving while licence revoked (Halangahu had his driver licence revoked for medical reasons; defence counsel Steve Turner said he had gone to pick his children up from school; he was going back to the doctor to see if his medical condition was still present) disqualified from driving for six months.
Carmen Jane MacMillan (45), of Dunedin, breaching a condition of supervision (sentenced to one year supervision on March 9; failed to report to a probation officer without reasonable excuse), suspended sentence of six months.
