Cyclist hit by car on SH8B

Cromwell: A cyclist sustained moderate injuries when he was hit by a car in Cromwell on Sunday.

The incident occurred on State Highway 8B, near the intersection with Alpha St.

St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said the man, believed to be in his 60s, was taken by ambulance to the Central Otago after hours care clinic in Clyde, with moderate injuries.

A witness said several road users had pulled over to assist.
