Flight cancellations

LOW cloud and fog in Wellington resulted in the cancellation of several flights, including one to Dunedin, last night.

Air New Zealand flight NZ 691 was scheduled to depart at 7.15pm and arrive in Dunedin at 8.30pm, but was cancelled, stranding passengers in the capital.

Other cancelled flights include NZ 452 from Wellington to Auckland.

Some international flights were delayed for several hours.

MetService said low cloud was also forecast for Wellington this morning.
