Lime scooters

-

DRIVING along North Rd today, including some walking, it was difficult to escape the presence of Lime scooters.

In several locations, banks of up to four of these pests were nicely placed across the footpath, taking up more than half the footpath width thus an obstruction for pedestrians.

It seems incomprehensible that the DCC allows carte blanche to these pests whereas muchenjoyed cafes have to pay exorbitant rents for small tables outside and face strict restrictions on signage.

There seems to be a severe lack of forethought and common sense among Dunedin’s bean counters.

Two dictionary definitions of footpath are: path for walkers ONLY, and path for pedestrians ONLY.

Makes sense to me.
