No damage from quake

Tokyo: A magnitude6.3 earthquake has shaken southwestern Japan, although no major damage was reported.

The Japan Meteorological Agency said the tremor struck at 11.48am yesterday (NZ time) at a depth of about 20km off the east coast of Kyushu. — EFE
