Community work for driver
Christchurch: A driver who struck and killed a man out walking his dog in Christchurch last year, and did not stop, has been sentenced to community work and lost her licence.
Timaima Tuilawa (56) appeared in the Christchurch District Court yesterday for sentencing and was ordered to pay $500 in reparation, complete 170 hours of community work and disqualified from driving for a year.
Tuilawa struck Steffan Pearce Loe (30) last July, when he was walking his dogs in Gayhurst Rd, near the River Avon, about 2.30am. — RNZ
