GOOD ON YA MUM

-

You gave her a sore back, swollen ankles and weird cravings before you were even born. Once you were here you said thanks by keeping her up every night f orm onths. You spewed on her shirt, jeans, couch, curtains, carpet and favourite dress; never once did you show an ounce of remorse. You were a little bugger, but she still taught you how to tie your shoes. When she made you lunch, you made a mess. When you needed hugs, she gave them. When you needed to be cool in front of your mates, she refrained. Then you grew up and things got worse. She patched you up when you bit the dust on your bike, your skateboard, and everything else you managed to fall off. You took over her TV, her car and free time. You missed Christmas while finding yourself overseas, you wrote terrible birthday cards, and you were probably responsible for her first grey hair.

And after all of this, that lovely woman is always there for you.

So this Sunday, say cheers to one of the greatest mates of all.

Good on ya Mum.
