Hope Church Dunedin

-

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; Psalm 130:5

In February this year, Hope Church Dunedin was born.

The backstory was difficult and painful, and it hasn’t been an easy road since, but God has wonderfully blessed our journey.

As we turn our hearts towards celebrating our first Christmas together, we realise our name is important. Hope is a reality that many in our culture are desperate to know. The absence of hope is a dark place that many people in our community find themselves in. Perhaps that is you?

True hope shines light into that darkness. It is not wishful thinking or blind optimism but is based on the promises of God and life together in his kingdom. Waiting and trusting in God’s word, we believe in his plan to put right what sin and evil has robbed from us.

This began when Jesus Christ was born. It was fulfilled when Jesus died and rose again. It will be completed when Jesus returns again.

Join us this Christmas as we celebrate the hope that we share in Jesus.

God bless.

— Rev Stu Crosson Senior minister Hope Church, Dunedin.
