I AM sure that Peter Frost of Outram (Letters, 13.5.20) echoes the sentiments of many of us. Some members of our present Government have worked hard to bring a new standard of decency to Parliament — let us encourage that.

I APPRECIATE­D the article with Cr Jules Radich this morning

(ODT, 14.5.20) because he has come out with a thought many of us have left unspoken for a long time — ‘‘no faith’’. This lack of consultati­on seems to be a case of ‘‘instead of the dog wagging the tail, the tail’s wagging the dog’’.

COULD you imagine any other world leader apart from ours that would allow themselves to be on national televison, and possibly world television, making a speech and drinking water from a coloured paper disposable cup? If that doesn’t mean that she is a true, normal Kiwi then nothing would. This was seen almost daily at the 1pm update session.
