App’s accessibility queried

Wellington: Disabilities Minister Carmel Sepuloni will not say if the Health Ministry has breached Government guidelines with its Covid19 contact tracing app.

The group Blind Low Vision New Zealand says the app is unusable for blind people and those with low vision.

Ms Sepuloni did not respond to questions about whether officials had breached guidelines that say digital services must be accessible to everyone.

The ministry said it might add functions to assist the blind. — RNZ
