TAB confirms job losses
Racing: The TAB yesterday confirmed 230 job losses, including 150 permanent staff.
The Racing Industry Transition Agency said the reduction was 30% of its workforce. It is expected to save
$11 million a year in addition to other costsaving plans.
These include the cancellation of Trackside Radio programming, fewer inperson betting facilities at races, trims to its television output and the closure of four retail stores. — RNZ
