Thomas now world No 1

Golf: Justin Thomas clinched his 13th PGA Tour victory yesterday, winning the WGC FedEx St Jude Invitational by three strokes and becoming world No 1 in the process.

The 27yearold American shot a near flawless 5under 65 to win in Memphis, Tennessee.

Americans Daniel Berger, Phil Mickelson and returning champion Brooks Koepka, as well as Englishman Tom Lewis, tied for second. — Reuters
