Football: Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard scored a hattrick as Celtic began its quest for a 10th consecutive Scottish Premier League title with a 51 home win over Hamilton yesterday, the BBC reports.

He tapped in from two crosses, and then pounced on a rebound for his third as the champion responded to Rangers’ 10 win at Aberdeen on Sunday in style.

‘‘He’s scoring a lot of goals now and it’s fantastic to see,’’ manager Neil Lennon said. ‘‘He would be the first to say it was a real team effort.’’
