Vehicle tampering

QUEENSTOWN police have stepped up patrols in Shotover Country after reports of a vehicle burglary.

Senior Sergeant Paula Enoka said a car was found on Sunday morning near where the owner had left it, its ignition having been tampered with.

There were 16 separate reports of vehicle tampering between Saturday night and Sunday in the area, he said.
