Arrest after driving antics

A CAR seen wheelspinning on a Dunedin field later drove along a footpath before fleeing police.

Acting Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond said police were contacted at 2am yesterday after reports of a car wheelspinning on a field in Riselaw Rd.

Police arrived to find the car being driven along a footpath, heading into Mulford St before finally stopping.

The 24yearold male driver was charged with failing to stop, intentional damage, driving while forbidden, possession of cannabis and sustained loss of traction.
