Bust catches 1360kg of illegal drugs
SAN DIEGO: Authorities discovered 1360kg of methamphetamine, plus heroin and fentanyl, in a semitrailer at San Diego’s Otay Mesa Port of Entry at the weekend.
The drugs, worth an estimated $NZ10.8 million, were found bundled up in cardboard boxes and tucked in the trailer in with medical laboratory supplies, US Customs and Border Protection officials said.
Authorities said it was their secondlargest meth bust. — TCA
