Teen hurt in bike incident

Alexandra: A teenager was taken to Dunedin Hospital by helicopter yesterday in a critical condition after what police said was a ‘‘mountain bike incident’’ on the Otago Central Rail Trail at Little Valley, Alexandra.

Emergency services responded shortly before 3pm.

A St John spokeswoman said the person was in a critical condition. Neither agency was able to say if the teenager was male or female.
