Cyclist seriously hurt

A WOMAN received serious injuries in a cycling accident in Vauxhall yesterday morning.

A St John spokesman said emergency services were called to Portobello Rd, between Marne St and the Vauxhall Yacht Club, where a cyclist hit a rock wall and fell from her bike about 10.10am.

The woman was taken to Dunedin Hospital, where she was in a stable condition yesterday evening.
