Robinson finishes 12th

Skiing: Queenstown skier Alice Robinson struggled to repeat her winning form of a year ago in the seasonopening world cup giant slalom in Solden in Austria yesterday.

After being fifth following the first run, the 18yearold was more than 2sec slower in her second run to slip to 12th, with a combined time of 2min 23.34sec, more than 3sec behind winner Italian Marta Bassino.

Robinson will next compete in a parallel slalom in Lech in Austria next month. — The New Zealand Herald
