Holiday road toll six

Palmerston North: A driver died after a crash in Tokomaru, Horowhenua on Sunday night.

Two vehicles collided at the Makerua Rd and Williams Rd intersection about 11.30pm on Sunday.

The driver and sole occupant of one vehicle died at the scene.

A passenger in the second vehicle suffered moderate injuries.

The death took the holiday weekend toll to six. — RNZ
