Clarification

THE Southland District Council says it did not offer a unit to any perspective tenant which could be described as having ‘‘faeces or cat urine” as reported in the Otago Daily Times on Tuesday.

All SDC units are cleaned between tenancies and inspected by the tenant before any tenancy agreement is signed.
