Pair arrested over Trelise Cooper burglary

AUCKLAND: Two people have been arrested after a significan­t amount of clothing was taken from fashion designer Trelise Cooper’s premises last month.

The burglary was at Dame Trelise Cooper’s commercial premises in Epsom. It was reported in October that about 1800 items were stolen.

Police carried out a search warrant in central Auckland yesterday and arrested two people.

A 41yearold man has been charged with burglary and a woman (45) has been charged with receiving stolen property.

A significan­t amount of the clothing was recovered.

The pair are due to appear in the Auckland District Court today. Police could not rule out the possibilit­y of further arrests and charges. — RNZ
