Woman held in custody

Rotorua: Police allege a woman pointed a gun at police, stole a police car, and then crashed it in Rotorua on Sunday night.

Police said officers were approached by the woman in Whakarewarewa who pointed a gun at them about 9pm.

A spokesperson said she then took their car and crashed it shortly afterwards.

The woman has been taken into custody.

Noone was injured and the gun was recovered. — RNZ
