Holiday road toll 11

Wellington: A person died following a serious crash on State Highway 29 in the Lower Kaimai Ranges yesterday morning.

A car and a truck collided between Soldiers Rd and Valley View Rd about 5.15am.

The death brings this holiday season’s road toll to 11.

Last year, four people died on the roads during this period.
