Two lake deaths

Hamilton: The body of a man was recovered from Lake Arapuni in the Jones River Landing area in the Waikato yesterday afternoon.

Police were called about 8.30pm on Tuesday after a man entered the water and did not return.

One person has died following a water incident in Taupo last evening.

A police spokeswoman said the incident happened at Two Mile Bay.

Emergency services were alerted at 6.07pm. — RNZ
