Serious crash in Dunedin
SIX people were injured, one critically, in a crash that closed Ravensbourne Rd in Dunedin last night.
A Police spokeswoman said police were called to the scene, near Forsyth Barr Stadium, at 9.15pm.
Two cars had collided, she said. In a media alert, St John said one person with critical injuries and another with serious injuries were taken to Dunedin Hospital. Four people also received minor injuries.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said one person was initially trapped in a vehicle and was extricated by firefighters. The road was completely blocked and traffic management was put in place for a time.
