Water safety

VERY sad to read of another child drowning. Successive governments have been really stingy at funding schools which had swimming pools to the point many closed — in particular small rural schools.

The end result is many children not confident in the water. The New Zealand death, as it was called, was drowning. The solution was to teach people how to swim.

Are big pay packets for education bureaucrats more important? Let's bring back the pools.
