Man dies at rural property

Hamilton: A man died while driving his rideon lawnmower at a rural property in Morrinsville on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to a property at Kiwitahi Railway Rd at 5.30pm.

It is understood the elderly man suffered a medical event while mowing the lawns.

Earlier on Saturday, police and St John were called after a fourwheeldrive farm vehicle rolled on a rural Waipukurau property at 11.25am.

Medical assistance was provided, but the person died at the scene. — RNZ
