Mackay stars for Magicians

Cricket: Allrounder Frankie Mackay played a dominant role as the Canterbury Magicians breezed past the Central Hinds by eight wickets in their Super Smash match in Christchurch yesterday.

Mackay took four for 10 as the Hinds were reduced to 100 for nine after their 20 overs and then scored 48 as the Magicians reached the target with seven overs to spare.

On Saturday, both Wellington side prevailed against their Northern Districts opposites. The Fireboxes won by 80 runs while the Blaze eased home by five wickets.
