Grenade sparks alert

Christchurch: A bomb disposal team was called to a Christchurch property after the discovery of an old grenade.

Police were called to the discovery in Avonhead about 12.20pm yesterday.

The New Zealand Defence Force Explosive ordnance disposal team was on site. — The New Zealand Herald
