Damaging blaze contained

Adelaide: Several buildings have been confirmed lost along with livestock and fencing but a major scrub and grass fire in South Australia’s southeast is now contained.

The Country Fire Service yesterday said the blaze, which threatened the town of Lucindale at one stage on Monday, had burnt through 14,073ha.

Several buildings were lost or substantially damaged, and teams were checking more areas. A police investigation was also under way to determine the cause. — AAP
