OUR banks are closing. What about people who need to visit one?

We have to travel to Queenstown or Alexandra — not good enough for people who don’t drive.

Without cheques, how does one pay accounts, if they don’t have a computer or fancy cellphone?

What about the groups that sell raffle tickets, or the markets, and church collections? Most people pay cash for these items.

As people get older and have depended on cash and cheques, this is a real upset. There will be a whole generation who will be most affected. We are wary of our money going into cyberspace.

There are so many scams about. People are trying to con us by phone every week!

Noone seems to care. It’s all for the young, and it’s about time us older folk can have a voice.

We made this country — keep it safe. Leave our little bit of money alone and leave our lifestyle alone.
