Gore’s Jasper Bruce is all smiles as he approaches the final section of his 15km race during the annual Glenham Trainwreck Trail.
Participants biked, ran or walked the rural race on Saturday, going through the historic Glenham tunnel and finishing at Glenham School. Four trail distances were available, ranging from 1043km.
Event coordinator Jeanette Howe said the day had been ‘‘fantastic’’.
Despite the heat 304 people competed in the event, beating last year’s turnout.
‘‘The highlight was seeing so many people want to compete in our great event,’’ Mrs Howe said.
‘‘I really enjoyed people’s reactions to the courses; they loved it.’’
Funds raised from the event would go towards new supplies for Glenham School as well as the refurbishment of the community hall.
