Man injured in robbery
Auckland: An aggravated robbery of an Auckland shop last night, in which a firearm was presented, ended with the shopkeeper being taken to hospital with a leg injury.
A police spokesman said officers responded to reports of a robbery at a business in Manurewa at 6.30pm.
‘‘The shopkeeper suffered a nonlifethreatening injury to his leg.
‘‘He has been transported to hospital and is reported to be in a stable condition.’’
Inquiries are under way to identify and locate the offenders, the spokesman said. — The New Zealand Herald
