Charged with murders

Hawera: A 21yearold man appeared in the New Plymouth District Court yesterday on two charges of murder.

Police launched a homicide investigation after two people were found dead at a house in Hawera. Police were called to the property at 2.50am yesterday.

Judge Tony Greig made an order for interim suppression of the accused’s name and remanded him in custody to reappear in the High Court at New Plymouth on February 9. — RNZ
